Record-breaking August for Subaru Canada, Best Month Ever for Subaru Outback

(MISSISSAUGA) - Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) is thrilled to announce its eighth back-to-back month of explosive growth with sales of 3,691 units, an increase of 10.5 percent over last August. Year-to-date sales also rose by 15.8 percent over the same period last year.



This month, an unprecedented number of Canadians discovered the all-new 2015 Subaru Outback as sales soared with 883 units retailed, up an incredible 74.9 percent - making August the best month on record for the midsize SUV alternative. It was also a record August for Subaru's WRX STI line and XV Crosstrek. Sales of the pure performance sedan blistered, jumping up 35.1 percent with 254 units retailed in August. Sales of the XV Crosstrek, Subaru's compact crossover, also rose by 12.5 percent with 586 units retailed.



All regions across Canada celebrated outstanding results as sales in August rose by 12.7 percent in the Atlantic region, 4.8 percent in Quebec, 17.4 percent in Ontario and 9.5 percent in the Western region, respectively.
